Barcelona made it eleven wins out of eleven in all competitions to extend their historic perfect start to the season against Real Betis on Saturday, but the win was costly ahead of a crucial week of matches.
Hansi Flick lost Gerard Martín and Eric Garcia to injuries during the game in Seville and also revealed that Jules Kounde finished the game with discomfort, leaving all three players as serious doubts for Tuesday’s massive Champions League clash away to Paris Saint-Germain.
Barça also have Andreas
Christensen out through injury, leaving Pau Cubarsí as the only healthy center-back. Xavi Espart, João Cancelo and Alejandro Balde are the three available full-backs, while Rodri and Frenkie de Jong have both played at center-back in their careers.
We still don’t know the official status of Barça’s three injured defenders, but it’s worth thinking about what the back four could look like if the trio can’t make it to Paris.
So today’s Barca Blaugranes Question of the Day is:
What should be Barcelona’s starting backline against PSG if Jules Kounde, Eric Garcia and Gerard Martín are ruled out?
