Earlier this week, we published our latest SB Nation Reacts survey, sponsored by the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook, and we asked Detroit Lions fans to help settle a debate between Jeremy Reisman and me by answering the question: Who will have more receiving yards in 2026: Isaac TeSlaa or Jahmyr Gibbs?
While this debate seems far from over, and we’re over six months away from getting an answer to this question, Lions fans have picked their sides.
Let’s take a look at the results from our survey:
Let’s take a look at the comment section of our original article to get fans’ explanations for their selections (slightly edited for clarity).
- The Prodigal Sione: “I predict TeSlaa goes over 1000 yds receiving. Probably at the expense of Jamo’s production dipping. Gibbs might catch a lot of passes, but not for as many yards.”
- Panzer1943: “More yards for Teslaa but more catches for Gibbs seems about right for me.”
- LRB57: “TeSlaa will get more yards, but Gibbs will have more catches.”
- UpAllNight: “Gotta hand it to TeSlaa simply because of his extraordinary ability to catch passes. He’s the Human Slot Machine, which is exactly the type of receiver that Jared can count on in critical moments”
One final note: this week’s survey was only up a few hours instead of a few days (as is typical), so we apologize to those like Waitingsince57 (“Poll was closed before I read it. I say Jah will get more yards than Teslaa.”), 1962Lion (“I woulda picked Teslaa if I could have.”), and the others who were unable to vote in this week’s survey.
As a reminder, this survey was sponsored by the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook, who currently have the Lions listed as +1700 to win this year’s Super Bowl, +800 to win the NFC Championship, and +145 to win the NFC North as the current favorites.
Throughout the year, we ask questions of the most plugged-in Detroit Lions fans and fans across the country. If you want to get these surveys emailed to you weekly, you can sign up here.
