Sunday Night Football brings the Kansas City Chiefs to Seattle for a Week 7 matchup, also unofficially known as the “Kenneth Walker III Bowl.” If you’re looking for player props and game-day value, check out the latest lines at FanDuel Sportsbook before kickoff.
The Seattle Seahawks are coming off of two straight losses and are staring a sub .500 record straight in the eyes. The Chiefs meanwhile are undefeated and are currently elated with their recent running back signing (and Offensive Player of the Year
candidate) Kenneth Walker III. Let’s look at some game picks ahead of this matchup Sunday Night.
Kenneth Walker III over 84.5 rushing yards (-114)
I know Walker III is not a Seahawk anymore. However, considering his dominance this season, and the Seahawks lack of dominant running game, this is surely the game pick on the top of everyone’s mind. Walker III is averaging 133 yards per game this season. Meanwhile the Seahawks defense has not allowed a 100 yard rusher in a franchise record, 35 games– not since October 27, 2024. One of these juggernauts will have to break in this matchup.
The betting line being at 84.5 seems to be lower than many expected, or at least lower than I expected. Walker III is on a career heater right now. His ability to flip the field at any moment and break any run into a house call is very rare. Even if the Seahawks defense holds Walker III in check, it only takes one explosive run to get close to this 84.5 line. On top of this, Walker III already gets a large share of carries, and is now facing a revenge game. I would expect Walker III to get a ton of carries in this game, which means tons of opportunities to hit this line. All of this considered, it is tough to see Walker III not being able to hit at least 85 yards rushing. That doesn’t mean that he will break 100 yards – the Seahawks could still very easily extend their streak to 36 games. However, this will be their hardest challenge yet.
The pick: Kenneth Walker III over 84.5 rushing yards.
Over 42.5 points (-112)
The line for this game is 42.5, also a little lower. The Seahawks have scored at least 29 points four times this season. Their only two games where they scored less was in Week 1 with Drew Lock coming in with no first team reps, and in Week 6 with a short week Thursday Night Football game.
Add to this, the fact that the Seahawks are playing the red hot Kenneth Walker III and the Chiefs. There is a good chance that the Seahawks offense will need to keep up with Kansas City and their elite running game. That will surely be easier to do with Anthony Bradford and Zach Charbonnet likely returning for this game. Expect a high scoring affair in the battle of former AFC West foes.
The pick: Over 42.5 total points (-112).
Jaxon Smith-Njigba over 92.5 receiving yards (-114).
Leading the NFL in receptions (49), receiving yards (717), and receiving touchdowns (7), JSN is once again on a heater. JSN has only missed the receiving yards line once this season – week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers where he put up only 76 yards (18.5 yards shy of the line).
With the Seahawks run game struggling, and Sam Darnold looking less confident week in and week out, expect the safety blanket, JSN to have another big game this week against the Chiefs. Despite averaging 143.4 yards per game, the lines still remain fairly low. With it this low, the smartest move would be to bet the over.
The pick: Jaxon Smith-Njigba over 92.5 receiving yards.
Zach Charbonnet to score 2+ touchdowns (+750)
The first three picks may not be too risky. However, this last pick is very risky. Trying to correctly guess who will score two or more touchdowns is a Hail Mary of sorts, but why not live on the edge? Charbonnet, who was just activated off of the PUP list, is expected to make his season debut against the Chiefs.
This season, the Seahawks have struggled in short yardage situations. That is exactly where Charbonnet’s return is huge. When on the field, Charbonnet tends to find the end zone. Last season, Charbonnet led the Seahawks with 12 touchdowns. The year prior, Charbonnet had 8 touchdowns. Although this will be his first game back since tearing his ACL in the 2025 playoffs, look to see Charbonnet get these opportunities once again. It isn’t just the short yardage situations however. Charbonnet is also a strong pass catcher and gives the Seahawks an opportunity to score as a receiver as well. Despite only having one career receiving touchdown, Charbonnet still has 95 receptions for 693 yards in his young three year career.
The other elephant in the room with Charbonnet’s return is Kenneth Walker III’s absence. Throughout his career Charbonnet has always split the backfield with Walker III. However, this season Charbonnet has an opportunity to prove he is the clear number one running back. With Jadarian Price still on injured reserve, and the other running backs on the roster proving lackluster, this week will be a perfect opportunity for Charbonnet to prove he can lead this backfield.
The pick: Zach Charbonnet to score 2+ touchdowns.
