It’s the biggest game of the young season so far, so it’s time for our best eleven in the starting lineup. The calculus is simple; at least it is for the WAGNH Community.
Questions of (match-)fitness aside, the lineup chosen for this game is surely what we would consider that best in the moment. And that best is as follows:
In goal, Robert Sánchez has steadily established himself as the only real choice. He’s made some big saves and he’s cut down on the silly errors in distribution. His approval rating
is over 90% now.
Tosin and Trev continue to hold down the center of the defense, despite being exposed at times, especially when the latter fails to win the ball when stepping up and the former has to be 1-v-1 with a smaller, more nimble attacker. Those are tough situations for any defender, and all it takes is one time to lose.
There are no questions at fullback (Reecey & Cucu) or in midfield (Enzo & Moi) for the Community, and it’s equally clear that the preferred attacking quartet right now is JP up top, with Neto, Steve-o, and Cold-o supporting.
4-2-3-1 (78%)
Sánchez (91%) | Cucurella (99%), Chalobah (97%), Tosin (70%), James (87%) | Enzo (91%), Caicedo (98%) | Estêvão (74%), Palmer (97%), Neto (83%) | João Pedro (89%)
Of the rest, Garnacho (24%), Fofana (22%), Gusto (21%), Santos (18%), and Acheampong (12%) score in the double-digits.
