Hard to believe that Christmas is over already, but here we are. There are still a ton of free agents left to sign, so there is still action to be had. Let’s hope some of that action happens soon since
we don’t want to be cold and bored in January.
On to the links.
Phillies news:
- Matt Strahm’s trade may have reasons for justification, but it does open up for further questions about bullpen depth ($).
- There are some news and notes in here, including a small update on the JT Realmuto negotiations. Maybe it’s time to stop this song and dance.
MLB news:
- The largest contracts in each team’s history is still pretty funny. For example, I’ll bet you’d never guess the biggest one the Mariners have given out.
- Pete Fairbanks is now with the Marlins on a one-year, $13 million deal. A good move for a guy who needs to be in the warm weather.
- There are a lot of stats in the game today, but these are stats that will define teams as they enter 2026.
