Bayern to take run at Muharemović in January? (TEAMtalk)
Well, this is a new one. Per this report, Bayern Munich is looking at Leeds United center-back Tarik Muharemović:
Leeds United will face a tough battle to retain the services of star defender Tarik Muharemović in 2027, with the Bosnian’s impressive performances in the Premier League thrusting him into the realms of super-stardom and firmly onto the radar of European heavyweights, Bayern Munich, TEAMtalk can exclusively reveal.
sources can now confirm that Bayern Munich are increasingly keen on the
defender Muharemović and have the Bosnia and Herzegovina international listed as their top target heading into 2027, TEAMtalk understands.
Sources indicate the Bundesliga champions could even look to test Leeds’ resolve to keep the player in January, although a mid-season deal is regarded as out of the question at Elland Road.
Muharemović may, indeed, be on Bayern Munich’s radar, but a January move would be a long shot. With Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah, Kim Min-jae, and Hiroki Itō all healthy at the moment, it does not seem like the Bavarians would be in the market for a central defender—unless it was the type of deal that the club felt it needed to make for the future with a reasonable price attached to it.
Bayern eyeing Pope? (Goal)
Bayern Munich is reportedly taking a close look at Newcastle United goalkeeper Nick Pope as a potential option for 2026/27 to back up Jonas Urbig:
Bayern Munich have reportedly identified Newcastle United goalkeeper Nick Pope as a shock target ahead of next summer’s transfer window. The Bundesliga giants are scouring the market for a seasoned deputy to support incoming first-choice Jonas Urbig once Manuel Neuer hangs up his boots, with the 34-year-old emerging on their shortlist.
According to Sky Germany, Bayern have set their sights on Pope as an experienced back-up option at the Allianz Arena ahead of next summer’s transfer window. The 34-year-old goalkeeper is being lined up to provide cover for Urbig, who is set to be promoted to first choice following Neuer’s planned retirement.
While Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich have not formally announced anything regarding their respective statuses for next season, it has been rumored that both will retire. If that happens, Bayern Munich has been rumored to want an experienced back-up to Urbig, who looks to be ready to take a star turn with his own career.
As for Pope, the 34-year-old might be open to such a role, but the Bavarians could also eye a goalkeeper currently in the Bundesliga, too.
Juve takes young talent off market (ESPN)
Juventus is not eager to sell off its young players and has reportedly made Kenan Yıldız and Kerim Alajbegović “untouchable”:
Juventus have declared that Kenan Yildiz and Kerim Alajbegovic are “untouchable” in future transfer markets, with the club keen to build around the pair, reports La Gazzetta. Yildiz, 21, has previously attracted interest from Arsenal and Real Madrid, having shown plenty of potential. The forward ended up staying with Juventus over the summer, though a recent injury issue means he will be out until December. As for Alajbegovic, the Bianconeri managed to beat plenty of competition to his signature from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window. With the 19-year-old forward featuring for the club since, and reports of potential interest from the likes of Chelsea in the future, Juventus have set a clear stance of no exit for now.
Juventus has a chance to start fresh with a couple of young players who could fully evolve into stars. It would be a good thing for The Old Lady to lock down the aforementioned duo for the long haul and work to build a quality squad around them for the future.
Is Bayern really pursuing Llorente? (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Despite rumors to the contrary, Bayern Munich is not looking to acquire Marcos Llorente:
❌It is NOT TRUE: Marcos Llorente is high up on Bayern’s shortlist for a new right-back. He only recently stepped down from the national team at 31. The Spaniard still has a contract with Atletico Madrid, so he’s not cheap. Bayern Munich would prefer an option who’s younger; someone they could sell on and make money from in a few years if they wanted to leave. If you’re paying a price for Llorente, you have to accept you’re not getting the same money back. Normally, this isn’t the idea at Bayern. Marcos Llorente is ultimately a good buy if you need a player of his profile immediately, not for the long term. This is why Bayern Munich still have Konrad Laimer in this position and many backup options, including Josip Stanišić and Sacha Boey (the latter of whom they want to sell). It’s not hot at the moment for Marcos Llorente.
Haaland now in focus for Barca (TEAMtalk)
If Manchester City gets hit with major sanctions that stick, Erling Haaland could look to leave the club, and if he does, FC Barcelona will be there hoping to give him a new home:
Harry Kane has agreed a contract extension with Bayern Munich in principle after rejecting the chance to move to Barcelona next summer and with the Spanish giants now setting their sights on an ambitious alternative, TEAMtalk understands.
TEAMtalk can now reveal that an agreement in principle is in place over a new two-and-a-half-year deal – as initially reported back in August – with Kane fully on board and committed to continuing his career in Munich.
Barcelona had shown a strong interest in Kane and were considering the possibility of signing him next summer.
Had Kane’s talks with Bayern not been concluded by January, Barcelona could have agreed a pre-contract with him from January for a free transfer at the end of the season.
TEAMtalk understands that Barcelona’s attention is now set to turn towards Manchester City’s Erling Haaland as they assess alternative options for their attack, whilst Julian Alvarez remains on their radar.
Haaland playing with all of FC Barcelona’s young talent (and under Hansi Flick) might be a scary prospect for the rest of Europe.
Juve wants Højbjerg (ESPN)
Juventus could be looking to make a move for Olympique Marseille midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg:
Juventus see Marseille midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg as the leader Luciano Spalletti needs, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport. They have previously looked at Leon Goretzka and Franck Kessié, who ended up at Aston Villa and Atalanta respectively, but remain keen on signing an older head for their midfield so are turning to the man who is captain for both Marseille and Denmark. There have already been exploratory contacts made about the 31-year-old, while Teun Koopmeiners is the main candidate to leave so he can come in.
