Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Cardinals fans and fans across the country.
Fans are… not confident. And it makes sense. When you have 12 attempts in a goal to go situation in a game and score only three points, it is hard to have confidence in the direction of the team.
That’s why only 16% fans are confident in the direction of the team.
They tried to improve the offense with a coaching hire and some assets along
the offensive line and at running back and we’ve seen no difference, and in fact things have gotten worse in the scoring department.
So, it also makes sense that fans are overwhelmingly ready to see Carson Beck at the quarterback position, with the offense not clicking under LaFleur and with Jacoby Brissett at the helm, you have to exhaust all options before you land on… the head coach is the problem (since he is the play caller).
The Commanders game is really the sweet spot at this point to me, but I get why fans would want to stop the madness with Brissett.
I also understand why the Cardinals continue to be underdogs week-in and week-out on FanDuel Sportsbook, with this week they are a full touchdown underdogs. The Cowboys give up 25.7 points per game and the Cardinals team total for the week is 23.5-points. No one is buying this offense, and fans want to know for sure the problem isn’t Brissett, and they would rather do it with someone like Beck than going to another Brissett in Gardner Minshew.
