After a historic win for BYU and day of chaos in the AP Top 10, BYU moved up from 8 to 2 in AP Poll after the win over Notre Dame. Miami is ranked 1 and Ohio State 3. Miami received 40 first place votes, BYU 20, and Ohio State 9. This is BYU’s highest ranking since they were ranked #1 in 1984. BYU is one of five Big 12 teams ranked along with Texas Tech (8), Utah (10), Houston (14), and Arizona (25). Notre dame is ranked 4. Arizona moving into the rankings gives BYU two ranked wins.
BYU next must
avoid a letdown when they travel two times zones to play at UCF, who is coming off a bye. Georgia suffered a letdown loss at home to Auburn after a big road win over Auburn; BYU will need to be focused to avoid the same. The game kicks off at 3:30 ET Saturday on FOX
