Florida State softball traveled to Gainesville on Tuesday, to face the Florida Gators for the second time. In yet another close game, the Seminoles came out on the losing end on the road.

Recap
1st Inning
The Seminoles and the Gators had a pitchers dual, clean inning. Both Bella Dimitrijevic and Olivia Miller tossed a scoreless frame. Each side also allowed baserunners.
2nd Inning
FSU quickly had the bases loaded in the top of the next inning, after Miller allowed two singles and a walk. Hayley Griggs’ single brought in one run
before the first out.
Still with bases loaded, a sacrifice fly from Isa Torres extended the lead to 2-0 before UF was able to end the inning.
3rd Inning
After a 1-2-3 inning of the FSU offense, Dimitrijevic’s first batter of the bottom half was a walk. Following the walk, the Gators capitalized with a RBI double, to make it 2-1. Two outs later, a single tied the game.
4th Inning
The ‘Noles had runners on in the top of the inning, both against Miller and reliever Keagan Rothrock. After a zero on the board, Marlee Gaskell took over for Dimitrijevic. The Gators had bases loaded, no outs, and a single put them in the lead. Gaskell went on to get a strike out to limit the damage to one run.
5th Inning
Down for the first time in the game, an error, single and hit by pitch loaded the bases full of Seminoles. A sacrifice fly by Anna Hinde retied the game at 3-3.
Gaskell came back out in the 5th, needing to toss a scoreless frame. After two outs, a walk and a single had two runners on. With a runner in scoring position, a single up the middle put the Gators back in the lead, 4-3.
7th inning
Both teams did not score in the 6th, giving way to the 7th and final inning. Still down one run, FSU led off with the top of their lineup. Other than a single by Ashtyn Danley, the ‘Noles could not capitalize on Rothrock. After four batters, the Seminoles dropped the game to UF, 4-3.

FSU will head to Boston to face the Boston College Eagles on Friday.
