Donnie Deals decided that waiting for more german help was taking too long, and decided to go get it himself.
According to various insiders, the Bruins are building a deal to get Utah Mammoth forward JJ Peterka to the Boston Bruins:
JJ Peterka only played a single season with the Mammoth, having played primarily with the Buffalo
Sabres. His year with the Mammoth was not especially fruitful, but a much more broad view of the player suggests he was just not vibing with Utah.
Peterka is a very offense first forward. So really the perfect kind of player to add to this team.
Either way, I’m…optimistic? It’s clear the Mammoth was not going to work out long-term for him, and now he’s going to be in a system that gives him a little more structure than the Mammoth gave; which was consistently a little more loosey-goosey than Boston’s ever was.
Also, he speaks the same language as Marco Sturm! That’s fun!
I’ll make a more informed opinion once I know the return.
More as this develops!
