Dragon Lee’s future with WWE has been a topic of conversation this week following a rumor about when his contract is set to expire.
The latest word going around is that people in WWE don’t expect Dragon will be looking to leave the company. That didn’t surprise me, given how AEW felt double-crossed by the way Lee’s WWE signing went down at the end of 2022.
Regardless, one person who evidently doesn’t want Dragon to leave WWE is perhaps the most important decision-maker of them all, Chief Content Officer
Paul “Triple H” Levesque. That can be seen in this vlog WWE posted today with a sneak peek behind the scenes of their recent shows in Mexico City. The video includes Triple H’s reaction to key moments like Sami Zayn winning the WWE championship from CM Punk, and Penta getting the rub from Roman Reigns.
The intro teaser at the very start of the video shows Triple H complimenting Dragon Lee for his performance on Raw against Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable. Triple H advises Dragon to save his cannonball table bump for special occasions, with the big picture in mind:
“Dude, fucking badass. Hey, do me a favor though? That table bump? Keep that shit special…that’s a now and then one. I need you here long term, not short term.”
