After then-WWE World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins was betrayed by his own faction on WWE Raw a couple weeks ago, Women’s Intercontinental champ Becky Lynch quipped, “I’m gone for one week…”
That got
The Man an offer she wasn’t quite sure how to deal with (or even how to take). It came from WWE’s often idle giant, Omos. The seven-footer offered Lynch his “services”…
In an interview with TMZ Sports, the Nigerian big man explained why he made the offer:
“Seeing what The Vision did to Seth after carrying that whole group — after putting Bron Breakker on the biggest stage ever. Taking Bronson Reed and raising his status up. And even taking on Heyman, who had been abandoned by his Tribal Chief, even putting him on the platform.
“And to get abandoned and stabbed in the back like that didn’t sit right with me, and I just felt that I could offer my services and really do a great job at handling it.”
It’s not situation dependent, though. Like the JBL and Ron Simmons’ Attitude Era tag act he’s tweaking the name of, the head of Omos Protection Agency says “they” are for hire:
“I have what I call the OPA – the Omos Protection Agency and my services are available to everybody, not just Becky Lynch, but if she needs my services like I said, just hit up my line and I’ll be there fair and square. We talk business and I’ll handle the work for you. Simple and clean.”
We don’t hate the idea… of the OPA, or Lynch as a mouthpiece for Omos, either. From his conversation with TMZ Sports’ Mojo Rawley though, it’s more another case of Omos brainstorming ways WWE can use him more often.
He and his fans will just have to hope Triple H & team like one of his ideas. Until then, there are always NXT house shows and bookings with WWE’s international partners…
