Is this the beginning of the end already for former Bayern Munich star and Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso at Real Madrid?
Probably not, but there appears to be at least some heat between Alonso and his players.
Per Foot Mercato, tensions are rising between Alonso and the notoriously high maintenance Real Madrid locker room. However, things will be tolerable…as long as Alonso keeps winning:
Tensions are running high between Xabi Alonso and the Real Madrid players! Besides his falling out with Vinicius
Jr., the Real Madrid coach has reportedly alienated several stars in the dressing room . This trend was confirmed last night in Spain by revelations about Alonso’s methods, which journalist Marcos Benito says are proving difficult to accept.
“There are Real Madrid players who don’t like certain things about Xabi. I’m told there are things Xabi does that people don’t like. But as long as he wins, people will be with him. Xabi’s personality is different from Zidane’s, from Ancelotti’s, he’s a very cold guy. He has ways of asking for things that not everyone likes,” he confided on the set of El Chiringuito.
Cold? Maybe he was in Germany in too long.
For now, this can be determined to be a few players likely not happy with their roles or with certain ways that Alonso runs the team. However, at Real Madrid, there is too much money wrapped up in the roster for the players not to eventually get their way.
If Alonso is perceived to be a problem to some of the important players, tensions will undoubtedly continue to rise.
Welcome to Bavarian Podcast Works — Edges and Underdogs, a BuLi Action Show!
This is not your run-of-the-mill gambling show as we are putting more focus on the ins-and-outs of the actual match day’s showdowns, rather than an odds-driven format (but yes, you will get the odds as well). This podcast is for people who watch the Bundesliga intently and who want to dive into some of the big games for each match day. Through that, we will also provide some information that could help those seeking to make a wager or two.
Each week, we will highlight three matches to talk through and break down who has the edge, who might be hurting, who is susceptible to being upset, who’s getting hot, and more! This is what we have on tap for this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Edges and Underdogs, a BuLi Action Show:
- Catching up on how we did last week.
- A look at this weekend’s match-ups — including win probability, odds, injury updates, trends, AI predictions, and our predictions as well.
The bottom line…it’s time for some action.
