The Go Bowling Military Bowl O’Meter is in full swing after Week 3, Syracuse Orange fans.
The meter was looking bleak early in the fourth quarter against UConn, but its value has skyrocketed ever since. Fran Brown’s crew found a way past the Huskies and followed that up with a 66-24 demolition versus Colgate last Friday night.
Quarterback Steve Angeli is the primary force behind the meter to this point, racking up 1,072 total yards through the first three games. No one in the country has more.
Check
out how the win over the Raiders reflects on this week’s Bowl O’Meter:

Syracuse is just four wins away from the postseason and a potential Military Bowl appearance. The road to immortality is a tough one, though, as the Orange head down to Death Valley for a clash with Clemson on Saturday afternoon.
Here’s where the nation projects SU in Bowl Season after Week 3.
ESPN – Mark Schlabach and Kyle Bonagura
No bowl
As we predicted in the last update, if the Worldwide Leader didn’t have Orange in a bowl after the UConn win, that would probably remain true after Colgate. We’ll see what happens if SU puts up a fight and keeps it close on Saturday.
Duke’s Mayo Bowl vs. Oklahoma Sooners
Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum, CFN has Syracuse making one of the premier ACC-represented bowl games. The average win total for participating teams is seven over the past four seasons, so maybe they’re predicting an upset in Death Valley.
No bowl
If there’s anything we’ve learned so far, it’s that these predictions are all over the map. CBS had the Orange in its preseason projections, but has excluded them in all three regular-season updates.
No Bowl
The Athletic doesn’t want to do projections weekly, so we add SI which doesn’t have the Orange bowling.
