A rough week for Maryland football got a little bit rougher Monday.
Three-star 2026 cornerback Khmari Bing, who committed to the Terps in August 2024, has decommitted from the team, he told Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett Monday. That brings Maryland’s already-small 2026 class down to 11 members, and ranked No. 76 in the country.
Bing’s decommitment isn’t necessarily a surprise. The St. Frances product is a late riser that head coach Michael Locksley’s staff identified early with deep recruiting ties at the
school. Since his commitment over a year ago, Bing has received offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State and Miami among other college football blue bloods. He visited Ohio State on Saturday and is set to visit Alabama in November.
Three other St. Frances 2026 recruits — five-star defensive end Zion Elee, three-star cornerback Hakim Satterwhite and three-star tight end Damon Hall Jr. — are still committed to Maryland. Don’t expect Bing’s departure to move the needle on any of them.
