This week is Husker Harvest Days in Grand Island. It is a celebration of everything agriculture. The college I work for takes a crew down to staff a booth. Several hundred FFA members attend, so it is a recruiting event for us. I enjoy talking with the high school kids but I have to admit that some of my favorite conversations are with alumni. People love to stop and talk about their time in college and how much it changed their lives. Some people found more than a career, they found a spouse, best
friend, or best friends. Education is a stressful profession but hearing about the impacts makes it all worthwhile.
