It’s safe to say that Shedeur Sanders has had a pretty inconsistent string of starts in 2025, and one of his biggest flaws continues to be his natural inclination to force throws. Especially when it comes to throwing across his body.
There have been multiple instances this season where he’ll try to not only make an incredibly strenuous and dangerous throw to the opposite side of the field, but to completely covered receivers. This is exactly what happened on Sanders’ second interception today on the lob
pass to Jerry Jeudy.
It was somewhat easy to see what he was trying to do, in terms of attempting to get the ball behind the defender, but he just shouldn’t have attempted that throw.
On the positive side, these types of mental mistakes can be fixed with time. One of the most recent success stories was Josh Allen in Buffalo. He had a couple of big-time flaws that made people think that he was on the fast track to being a bust, and one of them was definitely his tendency to be overly erratic with similar types of throws to Shedeur.
Once again, Sanders has all of the physical talent in the world, but he absolutely has to stop making these types of bonehead throws.
