50 Cent is the king of the haters, and he’s once again turning his ire towards Floyd Mayweather after news broke that the boxing legend is suing Showtime for $340 million in ‘missing’ payouts.
A lawsuit obtained by TMZ Sports has Mayweather suing Showtime (now owned by Paramount CBS) and former Showtime Sports exec Stephen Espinoza, claiming Espinoza aided Floyd’s former manager Al Haymon steal millions in “a long-running and elaborate scheme of financial fraud.”
The suit alleges that Showtime inappropriately
put money owed to Mayweather into bank accounts controlled by Haymon, including millions Mayweather made off megafights with Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor. Strangely enough, while Showtime and Espinoza are named, Al Haymon is not.
Now 50 Cent is mocking Mayweather for getting got — especially after 50 spent years telling Floyd to ditch Haymon as his manager and co-promoter at TMT / Mayweather Promotions. Over the years 50 Cent has claimed he was the real mover and shaker behind Mayweather’s “Money” years, and UFC CEO Dana White has said it was 50 Cent who convinced him that a Mayweather vs. McGregor fight was more than just talk.
“Oh no don’t cry now champ, they beat you out of $320 million you dumb ass,” 50 Cent wrote on Instagram. “I told you let me read the contracts. Now lace up, you gotta look good fighting Mike. Then maybe we can get Bud to beat your ass for some big money.”
Mayweather has made and burned through more money than almost any other figure in modern sports history. And while there are rumors that “Money” Mayweather is once again broke, he could easily make several hundred million more just by going through with a reported big money fight with Mike Tyson.
That bout was supposed to happen in the early half of 2026, but seems to have stalled out. But while 50 Cent is currently taking shots at Floyd on social media, he also seems to be offering a lifeline … by offering to help Mayweather secure a bag against Terence “Bud” Crawford?!
