The Michigan Wolverines are hoping for a bounce-back season in 2025 after missing the College Football Playoff in 2024. Prior to last year, Michigan made the playoffs three years in a row, including a National Championship for the ‘23 season. Is a return to the playoffs realistic?
Here’s a look at Michigan’s 2025 schedule.
- New Mexico (Aug. 30, 2025)
- @ Oklahoma (Sept. 6, 2025)
- Central Michigan (Sept. 13, 2025)
- @ Nebraska (Sept. 20, 2025)
- Wisconsin (Oct. 4, 2025)
- @ USC (Oct. 11, 2025)
- Washington (Oct. 18, 2025)
- @ MSU (Oct. 25, 2025)
- Purdue (Nov. 1, 2025)

In this edition of SB Nation Reacts we’re seeing what you think Michigan’s regular season record will be. Vote below.
Michigan’s toughest perceived tilts at the moment are at Oklahoma, at USC, and at home against Ohio State. A lot of the season greatly hinges on how good true freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood is, as well as his supporting cast offensively. Michigan’s defense made tremendous strides last year under defensive coordinator Wink Martindale and is considered a strength of the team heading into the season. Further, it’s Sherrone Moore’s second year on the job as head coach and there appears to a comfortability factor with him heading into the season. Anything could happen on any given Saturday, but it would not be a surprise to see Michigan win ten or more games and be a legitimate College Football Playoff contender.
