One of the hot topics of discussion for the Seattle Seahawks all offseason was how the team would handle the offensive line during the 2025 season.
Most of the discussion, obviously, centered around the interior of the offensive line. The addition of Grey Zabel in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft addressed the left guard spot, but center and right guard remained up for debate and discussion.
However, not nearly as much effort was put into discussing the tackle position, where Charles Cross and
Abe Lucas are the unquestioned starters, with Josh Jones laying claim to the swing tackle role. That means that the rest of the tackles on the roster were fighting for the right to be the backup swing tackle, and one of those who wound up on the outside looking in is 2024 sixth-round pick Michael Jerrell.
So, it’s off to join the Atlanta Falcons for Jerrell, with Seattle set to receive a conditional seventh round pick per the report from NFL insider Tom Pelissero.
