Barcelona’s inability to properly invest the money from Neymar’s huge sale to PSG in 2017 is one of the many problems the club faced over the last decade, and three signings in particular really helped set the club back: Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembélé, and Antoine Griezmann.
Even though all three players had good moments, they all fell well short of the massive expectations given their price tags and always looked like awkward fits for the squad and the system at the time of their signings.
But
Barça have a manager now in Hansi Flick who has displayed a brilliant ability to get the best out of his players, and has improved virtually every single member of the Blaugrana squad since taking over two and a half years ago.
Which got us thinking about the possibility of Flick getting a hold of those three big money signings and finding a way to extract the very best out of them.
So today’s Barca Blaugranes Question of the Day is:
Between Coutinho, Dembélé and Griezmann, which Barcelona big money ‘flop’ had the best chance to thrive under Hansi Flick and why?
