In many ways, it feels like spring will never get here. Winter hangs on some days and then it goes right to July’s heat. My poor landscape plants don’t know what to think. The loyal ranch dogs are both part Border Collie and they still have most of their winter coat. Taking them on a walk in the heat yesterday resulted in both taking a dive in the creek and running back up on the road to shake themselves off just as I reached the creek. Sigh.

The softball team is putting themselves in a position to not only host a regional, but possibly a super-regional if they get that far. The Huskers swept the Badgers in resounding fashion this weekend and their RPI is up to #4.

The baseball team played a helluva series out in Eugene against the Oregon Ducks. Unfortuately the Huskers came up short, losing the series 2-1 in three very close games.
