Marco Tulio will be channeling his inner Jon Jones this Saturday night at UFC Vegas 111 in Las Vegas, Nevada, especially since the two fighters now share the same exact tattoo.
On Friday, Tulio took to the
stage for UFC Vegas 111’s official weigh ins (replay HERE). The fast-rising middleweight prospect successfully tipped the scale at 185.5 pounds for his main card matchup against England’s Christian Leroy Duncan, but that’s not what fight fans noticed most. Instead, they quickly realized that Tulio is now sporting some fresh (yet very familiar) ink on his chest.
In the exact same spot as Jones, Tulio now has “Philippians 4:13” tattooed across his right shoulder onto his chest. The religious verse — which has become synonymous with Jones in the MMA universe — states, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” It’s a popular saying to say the least and something that anyone has the right to get tattooed on their body, but this seems like a little bit of copycat work.
Check it out below:
Fight fans instantly noticed Tulio’s new ink and quickly took action by hoping on social media and posting the best trash talk they could muster. These are probably the same fans who consistently hammer UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria for having similar tattoos as UFC superstar Conor McGregor.
Check out some of the reaction below and let us know your thoughts on Tulio’s new Jones-inspired ink!
“I like Tulio but he deserves to get slumped out cold just for this.”
“Gonna have to rethink his part in the parlay, great.”
“At least its not a massive contradiction to the person he his.”
“Copying someones tattoo is one of the most stupid thing person can do.”
“Hope he get’s KO’d.”
