Let’s get right to the rest of this week’s Olympic Sports round-up:
Field Hockey (11-4, 3-4)
The Orange won 3-1 at Boston College on Friday. Syracuse was led by Aubrey Turner, who had a goal and an assist.
Syracuse will head to Louisville on Saturday to close out the regular season.
Women’s Soccer (5-9-4, 1-8-1)
Syracuse’s season ends with road losses to Duke (2-0) and North Carolina (4-2). Mia Klammer finishes the year with 8 goals, the most by a Syracuse player since 2014.
The Orange have not won more than 1 ACC game in a season since 2017 and while they aren’t going to compete with UNC and FSU, the program should be striving for better than this.
Men’s Soccer (7-6-2, 4-3-0)
The Orange lost 2-1 at Cornell but then came home and knocked off another top 25 team with a 1-0 win over #22 North Carolina.
Syracuse is 5th in the ACC and could host a 1st round match-up. They will travel to #3 NC State to wrap up the regular season.
Volleyball (13-7, 5-5)
Syracuse volleyball loves keeping things .500. After winning a five-set battle in Boston, the Orange were swept by Boston College at home in the return match.
Syracuse will travel to face Florida State and Miami this week.
Cross-Country
Several Syracuse runners competed at Cornell with Drew Zundell and Sarah Lawson turning the fastest times in the meet which also included Cornell and Colgate. The Orange will be in Louisville on Friday for the ACC Championships and we’ll have a preview later this week.
Women’s Ice Hockey (5-5, 3-1)
Syracuse split a series with RIT. The Orange won 5-2 at RIT but dropped a 4-1 decision at home. Syracuse is now 5-0 on the road this year, and 0-5 at Tennity.
The Orange will play at Cornell on Tuesday night before a weekend series at Lindenwood.
