Harry Kane had a special year in 2025. After joining FC Bayern in 2023, the English striker had one goal in mind. To win trophies. Kane is perhaps the most notable player to have gone almost his entire career without winning a major trophy, but that all changed this year. After Bayern Munich’s last match of 2025, Kane was asked to reflect on the year 2025, and what it meant for him.
“I won my first team trophy in the summer, which was very special. We also gained a lot of energy as a team at the Club
World Cup, and that’s hard to break. We’re in a good position in every competition, so we’ll see how far we can go – we’ll try to continue as well as possible,” Kane said as captured via @iMiaSanMia.
Kane was truly over due for his first team trophy, and it wasn’t exactly his fault why he hadn’t won any trophies up until this point. Kane has been one of the world’s top strikers for a decade and all the metrics indicate his success. One can’t help but smile seeing Kane win the Bundesliga with Bayern this past summer.
Kane and Bayern will now attempt to build on the excellent foundation they have laid out this season. Is it possible for Vincent Kompany’s side to win 2-3 trophies in 2026? While a Champions League win is never easy, this is possibly one of the strongest Bayern sides we have seen since Hansi Flick managed Bayern.
