The first indication of when training camp will start for the Green Bay Packers in 2026 is here. The franchise typically begins camp with its annual Shareholders Meeting; in a press release on Friday, the team has announced the date and time for that event.
This year, the Packers’ Shareholders Meeting will take place at 1:00 PM Central Time on Monday, July 27th. As always, shareholders will be able to request tickets to attend the meeting in person at Lambeau Field, with each account eligible to receive
up to four tickets. Additionally, shareholders are encouraged to submit their votes or submit proxy details for the three individuals nominated to serve on the Packers’ Board of Directors.
The 2026 meeting will wrap up the franchise’s first year under the stewardship of new president/CEO Ed Policy, who officially took over that role from Mark Murphy during the 2025 meeting. Policy’s biggest decisions during the past year involved renewing the contracts for general manager Brian Gutekunst, head coach Matt LaFleur, and Executive VP/Director of Football Operations Russ Ball. The team announced the extensions for all three individuals simultaneously on January 30.
The team’s 2025 meeting took place after the start of training camp. The first training camp practice was on Wednesday, July 23rd, with the Shareholders Meeting held two days later on Friday, July 25. However, with the 2026 NFL season starting later due to a late Labor Day weekend, expect training camp practices to begin later, perhaps on Tuesday, July 28. The Packers plan to announce training camp details in the coming weeks.
Currently, the Packers are in the midst of the OTA phase of the offseason workout program. They will have two more weeks of OTAs and a week dedicated to minicamp before breaking for the summer. Stay tuned for more updates on the team’s training schedule when they are released.
