Kentucky could be without one of its key defensive starters when the Wildcats take the field Saturday night at Kroger Field to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores.
In the first injury report of the week, Kentucky listed outside linebacker Sam Greene as doubtful for Saturday’s game.
Greene has been a valuable piece for this Kentucky team and has made key plays throughout the first seven games of the season, so not having him on the field Saturday would be a notable loss.
Kentucky does have some depth at
the position with guys like CJ Works and Lorenzo Cowan who have shown a lot of potential. Those guys could become key pieces on Saturday if Greene ultimately does not play.
There is still some time between now and Saturday night, but it looks like Jay Bateman will have to adjust without one of his top defenders on the field.
