The Los Angeles Chargers are breathing a sigh of relief in Week 7 as they face their annual bye.
The Chargers have struggled mightily this season, losing their first six games, but things don’t get much easier when they come back to the facility. Here’s a look at their first three games coming up after the bye.
Week 8 at Los Angeles Rams
The Chargers won’t have to move very far for their next road game, as they visit the crosstown rival Rams at SoFi Stadium. The Rams have also dealt with their fair share of troubles this season,
as they are off to a 2-4 start despite having high hopes of reaching the Super Bowl in their home stadium.
That being said, the Rams still pose a massive threat, even with injuries across the board, thanks to high-level players like Myles Garrett and Davante Adams. The Rams should be favored in this one, and the Chargers will have to pull out all the stops to try and grab their first win.
Week 9 vs. Houston Texans
The Texans are another team that has struggled at the start of the season, but they have picked things up in recent weeks. Following a 0-4 start, they have won back-to-back games against the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars to climb back into a chance to reach the playoffs.
The Texans have beaten the Chargers in four of their last five meetings, including last season in Week 17 at SoFi Stadium. This is a chance for revenge, but Houston will be ready to give them another test.
Week 10 at Baltimore Ravens
The Chargers will head back out on the road to face off against their former defensive coordinator, Jesse Minter, on Monday Night Football. The league probably didn’t expect the Chargers to be winless this close to the game. Otherwise, they might not have put it on Monday Night Football, but that’s the nature of the schedule. Facing off against Lamar Jackson on the road is never easy, but the Chargers will have to do their best to contain him in hopes of grabbing a win on the road.
BFTB community, can the Chargers win any of these games? If so, which ones? Let us know in the comment section below.
