It’s Wednesday, and we are up and running! Week 1 starts tomorrow and there are Mountain West football games for the next three days! See what is coming your way today on our site and around the internet.
Is Boise State more talented than last season?
They lost all-time great Ashton Jeanty as well as Ahmed Hassanein to the NFL, but this CBS writer thinks the overall roster is more talented than 2o24. Players think that they can collectively get better as opposed to trying to replace one star player. That’s why this article claims that last year
wasn’t the peak for Boise State, it was merely their reintroduction to the spotlight.
5 Bold Predictions for Colorado State
Kevin Lytle drops some bold predictions prior to the start of the season for the Rams. He thinks kicker Isaiah Hankins will make a 55-yarder at somepoint this season and tight end Jaxxon Warren will break the CSU TE touchdown record with at least seven. Also, Donut Evans will have over 10 sacks and Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi will finish the season as the Rams all-time leading passer. We will see.
Mountain West Football Rankings
Chris Murray does a weekly rankings post during the football season and releases this week’s version here. In what should be a surprise to no one, Boise State takes the top spot, followed by San Jose State. Hawaii jumps to #3 after their marquee win, and UNLV drops to 5, which Colorado State inbetween. After Air Force is Fresno State (down two spots), with Nevada, Utah State, Wyoming, San Diego State, and New Mexico rounding things up at the bottom.
