Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund was happy to see his team pull out a late 3-3 draw with Heidenheim in the game’s final moments, but the executive is worried about the amount goals that the team is conceding at the moment.
“We wanted to win and were determined not to lose towards the end. Of course it’s bitter for Heidenheim. The lads will regenerate tomorrow, then we’ll have two days to prepare for Wednesday’s match. Of course we concede too many avoidable goals at the moment. Everyone
will give it 100 percent in tackles on Wednesday,” Freund said after the match (as captured by FCBayern.com).
Of course, the challenge of defending Paris Saint-Germain is far great than defending Heidenheim, so the Bayern Munich backline is going to have to be far more solid and together than it has been of late (especially than it was against Heidenheim, where several errors marred the effort).
