The Green Bay Packers had their practice squad quarterback, Kedon Slovis, poached by the Baltimore Ravens today, which explains why the team decided to sign quarterback Cam Miller. Slovis is guaranteed three weeks on the Ravens’ active roster, since he was poached by the team. The quarterback — who spent training camp for Matt LaFleur’s brother, Mike, in Arizona — signed with Green Bay following the roster cutdown deadline.
Beyond the addition of Miller, the Packers made two other signings today:
edge defender D.J. Johnson and safety John Saunders Jr. Johnson worked out with Green Bay on Monday, while Saunders — like Miller — had been brought in by the team earlier this season.
Green Bay has also released safety Kahlef Hailassie. Below is the current breakdown of the Packers’ practice squad:
- QB: Cam Miller

- TE: Drake Dabney

The Packers’ practice squad has one available roster spot, while the team’s 53-man active roster is full. A couple of former practice squadders have been able to make the jump up this year: RB Pierre Strong Jr., WR Coleman Owen, OL Mekhi Becton Sr. and LB Kristian Welch.
