Mistico and Mascara Dorada defended the ROH tag titles, Claudio Castagnoli took a side trip from AEW to wrestle Blue Panther, Ikuro Kwon is plotting for the MLW middleweight title held by Templario, and Persephone isn’t sweating any challenge from Tessa Blanchard.
The ROH World Tag Team Championship was on the line for the main event in Arena Mexico on Friday night (July 10, 2026). Mistico and Mascara Dorado defended the titles against
Angel de Oro and Niebla Roja. Los Hermanos Chavez currently hold the CMLL World Tag Team Championship and the NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Championship, so they were looking to become triple champions. In addition, this marked 20 years in the careers of Angel and Niebla. The brothers honored their past by donning the masks and gear from their early days as Los Angeles Celestiales. Mistico spoiled the night for Los Hermanos Chavez by submitting Angel de Oro with La Mistica armbar.
Claudio Castagnoli wrestled the legendary Blue Panther. The Death Rider muscled the 65-year-old around the ring. Panther rallied for a flying crossbody off the stage. He scored several near falls. Claudio turned the tide with the big swing and the Neutralizer to win.
Ultimo Guerrero, Volador Jr., & Ikuro Kwon defeated Tamplario, Titan, & Flip Gordon in trios action. The angle is Templario holding the MLW World Middleweight Championship, and Kwon wants that gold for Contra’s coffers. Ultimo Guerrero assisted Kwon for the win. Ultimo Guerrero executed a super suplex on Templario, and Kwon finished the job with a running knee to the back of the head. This result will likely set up an MLW title bout in Arena Mexico.
There was a funny finish to Dragon Rojo Jr. & Star Jr. versus Barbaro Cavernario & Zandokan Jr. Star blocked a low blow kick from Zandokan, so Zandokan flopped on the mat writhing in pain pretending to be the victim. This occurred behind the referee’s back. When the ref turned around, he awarded the win to Zandokan for a disqualification foul. Lie, cheat, steal.
Felino Jr., El Cobarde, & Hijo de Stuka Jr. retained the Mexican National Trios Championship over Polvora, El Coyote, & Vaquero Jr. Felino Jr. scored La Casita cradle for victory.
On Saturday night (July 11, 2026), Titan retained the CMLL World Welterweight Championship over Yutani. Titan cranked the Muta Lock to coerce a submission win.
Last week, Tessa Blanchard pinned Persephone in tag team action, so Blanchard wants a shot at the CMLL Women’s World Championship. In an interview on CMLL Informa, Perse mocked Blanchard’s challenge by saying she is going to human resources for this abuse. When pressed if the champ will take the match, the answer was no. Persephone doesn’t believe that Blanchard deserves it. She also said her schedule is booked. On Friday, she’ll go to the spa. Next Friday will be a trip to the beach. Plus, she was work in AEW. If the match happens, then it must be on a historic night. Persephone teased the idea for the CMLL Leyenda de Plata event on July 31.
CMLL added more talent to the International Grand Prix match on August 7. The updated teams for the torneo cibernetico include:
