Is this the first big crack in the dam? Holloway was a key player on Special Teams and really should have been the starting Slot Receiver this season. It’s really disappointing to see him say goodbye to a place
that he really loves.
Tucker Bows Out
This is crushing. Tucker Holloway is one of the nicest young men you will have the pleasure to meet. He is also a super returner and a really excellent slot receiver who has been underutilized this season.
It looks like this one is final, too. We won’t be seeing him on the field anymore. We aren’t sure as to his academic status, but he does have two years of remaining eligibility with a medical redshirt classification for his year off.
Tucker, as always, has Class
The risk chart will probably get a revisit after the Columbus Day holiday to see who is left to play football. Can the Hokie Bird and Spirit Squad suit up? We might need them to field enough players to finish the season.
Like we said… Firing Pry at this juncture was a Hobson’s Choice. Now we find out if making the most of a bad situation ended up leaping from the frying pan, straight into the fire. (Hey, if we’re going for old clichés we’re doing them right.)
