We have your results for our first SB Nation Reacts confidence survey of the 2025 season, and you guys are fired up for Ben Johnson’s first year working with Caleb Williams. Johnson brought an impressive offensive resume to the Windy City, boasting top-ten success throughout his entire time calling plays in Motown, and so far, he’s been as advertised in his first offseason as head coach of the Bears.

Chicago’s offense may not come out of the gate dropping 30 points and 4oo yards a game, but for the first
time in a very, very, very long time, it truly feels like the Bears have a chance to become something special on offense.
Some fans saw some trick plays in the Lions’ highlights over the last few years and assumed that’s what his offense is all about, but the best thing about Johnson’s philosophy is his understanding and willingness to run the football and use play action.
Cute plays seemed to litter the Matt Nagy era, and he famously said he wasn’t hired to run the I-Formation, but that’s something we won’t have to worry about with Ben.
When the matchup dictates it, he will pound the rock.
Besides the poll questions we pose here at Windy City Gridiron, we also have some results from the league-wide Reacts survey that went to fans of all 32 teams, and that one was not as confident in our beloved Bears.
It’s not surprising that fans of the NFL would be down on Chicago. After all, they were last in the division in 2024, behind three playoff teams.

Even though they lost both coordinators, the Detroit Lions have a talented roster and a very good head coach. They deserve to be the favorite for the NFC North.
The Green Bay Packers may have received a bit of a Micah Parsons bump because I think the Minnesota Vikings have a better team top to bottom, but both franchises have outstanding offensive head coaches.
This Monday night’s matchup between the Bears and Vikings will definitely give one fan base a boost of confidence.
