The San Francisco Giants continue this four-game road series against the San Diego Padres tonight.
Taking the mound for the Giants will be left-hander Carson Whisenhunt, who enters tonight’s game with a 4.60 ERA, 5.46 FIP, with 13 strikeouts to eight walks in 15.2 innings pitched. His last start was in the Giants’ 4-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday, in which he allowed four runs on five hits with seven strikeouts and two walks in five innings.
He’ll be facing off against Padres right-hander
Bradgley Rodriguez, who enters tonight’s game with a 2.33 ERA, 2.67 FIP, with 47 strikeouts to 16 walks in 46.1 innings pitched. His last appearance was in the Padres’ 3-1 win over the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday, in which he allowed just one hit with one strikeout in two thirds of an inning of relief.
