Raw airs tonight (Oct. 5) with a live show emanating from Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. This is the final episode of Raw during the ten week build to Money in the Bank, which takes place on Saturday (Oct. 10).
WWE somehow forgot the most important part of LA Knight’s world title push
World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns returns to Raw tonight for the first time since he defeated Penta in Mexico City. The OTC will respond to all the trash that LA Knight has been talking on the mic since then.
During his promos, the megastar acknowledged that Roman is a great
champion who is finally winning matches on his own. However, Knight calls himself the most self-made man in the business, and maintains that if his world title match against Roman at Money in the Bank stays one-on-one with no Bloodline involvement, there will be a new world champion.
That’s all fine and good, but WWE somehow forgot the most important part of Knight’s world title push, which is to give fans a reason to think LA can actually beat Roman and win the title. Knight has to keep referring back to his world title match with Reigns from three years ago because the megastar doesn’t have any impressive singles wins to speak of from this year.
Per CageMatch, the megastar has two PLE wins in 2026, and they both came in 6-man tag team matches. Knight’s last two singles matches on Raw were losses in June and July against Jacob Fatu and Jimmy Uso. While Roman Reigns was busy defeating Seth Rollins and Penta by himself over the last couple of months, Knight has been running his mouth without picking up any singles wins of his own. If WWE was really serious about Knight’s world title push, he would have recently beaten at least one upper card star who matters like Jacob Fatu, Penta, Bron Breakker, Jey Uso, Royce Keys, etc.
The Tribal Chief is in a strong position to refute Knight’s somewhat delusional talking points tonight, because the megastar hasn’t beat anyone to put himself close to the Reigns’ level. Does WWE have a plan to change that perception tonight that goes beyond LA laying out the OTC with a BFT? Tune into Raw to find out.
The rest of the card
Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan takes place tonight, with the winner becoming the number one contender for Stephanie Vaquer’s women’s world championship. This is The Man’s first match since she returned to Raw on August 3. Can Becky back up all the tough talk she’s dished out over the last two months, or will she fall on her face thanks to the numbers game of the Judgment Day?
Je’Von Evans & Penta vs. World Tag Team Champions Bron Breakker & Austin Theory is scheduled tonight. I don’t think the championship is on the line. If that’s the case, then Theory stands out as the obvious fall guy considering he’s the only one of these wrestlers who is not competing in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
Sol Ruca & Lola Vice vs. Roxanne Perez & Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez is also advertised for Raw. Just like the men’s tag match, Rodriguez is the only one of these wrestlers who isn’t competing in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match this weekend. Does that mean Ruca will pay her back for last week’s beatdown with the Sol Snatcher?
Ethan Page needs to do something to prove he deserves a shot at Chad Gable’s Intercontinental championship. “All Ego” gets a chance to make that statement tonight when he goes one-on-one with AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix. I don’t think the title is on the line, which means Page’s cheating ways are likely to prove successful.
Other stuff to keep an eye on
– The feud between Bayley and Lyra Valkyria isn’t over, and the rumor mill says WWE is considering a rare stipulation for their blowoff match. Will we find out tonight if that’s true? Could it be a hair vs. hair Iron Woman Punjabi Prison on a Pole inferno match with Omos suspended above the ring inside a shark cage?
– Dragon Lee pulled off a major upset over Big Cass last week. Will Big demand a rematch tonight so he can be humiliated for the second week in a row by “the future of lucha libre”?
– The 946 kidnapped Solo Sikoa and then ran over Jacob Fatu with a car. Now that Jaida Parker is part of the group, how will Royce Keys’ faction dispose of The Usos tonight to make sure Roman Reigns’ Bloodline is out of commission for Money in the Bank?
– Oba Femi and Bronson Reed signed a contract to fight each other this weekend at Money in the Bank. In what context will they cross paths tonight? Could they both be doing run-ins during The Vision’s tag team match against Penta and Evans?
– Joe Hendry sang a dumb song standing next to a Funko Pop last week to help cost the Judgment Day a tag team match. Will Dirty Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh get their hands on Hendry tonight and break a guitar over his regular-sized head?
– Where the f*** is Seth Rollins?
What will you be looking for on Raw?
