There isn’t much for Jays’ news.
We know the start time for Sunday’s game. 8:00 Eastern.
Monday’s game depends on who is playing in the NLCS:
- If the Brewers beat the Cubs, the Jays game will start at 5:00 Eastern.
- If the Cubs beat the Brewers, the Jays game will start at 4:30 Eastern.
Tom shouldn’t have said yes to playing tennis Monday afternoon. He also should stop talking about himself in the third person
Bo Bichette thinks he’ll be ready for the ALCS.
I’m not sure who the Jays would leave off the roster for him. Anthony Santander? I’m guessing Bo would be DH is he was able to play, which leaves Santander without a spot to play. But it would be tough
to tell a high paid free agent signing that He’s sitting out. I guess they did that to Max Scherzer in the ALDS. But the thought of Santander as a pinch-hitter isn’t a bad one.
IKF? Maybe, but then I don’t think Bo will be playing shortstop (and even if he is, I would want lots of cover in case he tweaks something). But then there are Clement, Gimenez and Schneider, who can play in his spot.
But then, having too many good players and having to sit one is a good problem.
The other roster question is which of Chris Bassitt and Max Scherzer is added to the roster? Or maybe both. Or do they plan for a bullpen day again? Bassitt and Scherzer could tandem in a game four start. Which again means someone or two someones would have to be dropped from the roster.
We’ll find the answers tomorrow or Sunday.
Who would you rather the Jays face in the ALCS?
