Incoming Kentucky basketball sophomore forward Kam Williams is getting some elite offseason work, with none other than Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry.
In a video posted Friday by Octagon Basketball, Williams was seen going through drills with the NBA’s all-time 3-point leader at the Curry Camp. The footage showed Williams sharpening his ball-handling, flowing seamlessly from dribble moves into pull-up jumpers, and drilling catch-and-shoot 3-pointers. He also flashed his athleticism
with a pair of dunks during the workout.
One standout moment came when Williams dapped up Curry. It was a small gesture, but a special one for the Kentucky forward, who found himself training alongside the greatest shooter in basketball history.
Williams, who transferred from Tulane this offseason, has the tools to make a major impact in Lexington. Last year with the Green Wave, he averaged 9.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1.3 assists per game. He played in 33 games, starting 28, and averaged 32.4 minutes per contest. His efficiency was a major strength, as he shot 48.5% from the field on seven attempts per game and 41.6% from beyond the arc on 4.6 attempts.
For Kentucky, the hope is that this offseason experience and training under the watchful eye of Curry will help Williams take the next step. If he can translate his Tulane production and new skill work into SEC play, Williams could become one of the breakout performers in the 2025-26 season.
