Newcastle United are facing growing interest in Lewis Hall, but the club has no plans to actively try to sell the defender this summer, according to TEAMtalk.
Hall has developed into one of Newcastle’s most important players since arriving from Chelsea in 2023. His rise has now attracted attention from several major clubs, with Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Bayern Munich all linked to the England international.
“Newcastle United are facing a growing battle to keep hold of Lewis
Hall this summer,” TEAMtalk reported on May 21. “The England international is prepared to consider leaving St James’ Park should the right opportunity emerge.”
The report states Manchester United are among the clubs monitoring Hall most closely, with Bayern close behind.
“Sources have confirmed to TEAMtalk that Hall is viewed internally at Old Trafford as one of the leading options to strengthen Michael Carrick’s squad ahead of next season,” TEAMtalk reported.
Bayern Munich, who are already set to land Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon and previously asked about Tino Livramento, are another serious threat to snatch Hall from Tyneside’s club.
“TEAMtalk can also confirm Bayern Munich are showing particularly strong interest,” the report says.
Despite all of that interest and speculation, it seems like Newcastle’s position hasn’t changed nor pushed the club to seriously consider a sale this early in Hall’s career. On top of that, the Magpies are operating under no pressure, as Hall is under contract until 2029 and viewed as part of the club’s long-term plans.
“For now, Newcastle’s stance remains firm, and sources continue to stress that there is absolutely no intention from the club to actively encourage a sale,” TEAMtalk reported.
The report adds that Newcastle has placed a value of Hall in the £55million range, which should be enough to stiff-arm whoever comes calling about his availability.
Hall has made 102 appearances for Newcastle, scoring three goals and adding seven assists.
