Karim Adeyemi is still getting used to life at Barcelona after his arrival from Borussia Dortmund, but his coach is excited about what’s to come.
Adeyemi made his debut in the friendly against Birmingham City after just a couple of days of training with the gorup, and Hansi Flick already saw good things and thinks there’s much more to come from the German international.
“There are still things that aren’t quite right. He has much more potential to showcase his strengths, but it’s only the first week,
and that’s normal. I’m seeing him improve a lot, and with his speed and finishing ability, he’s doing well. He has a lot of potential and can contribute a great deal.”
It’s hard to see Adeyemi becoming a fixture of the starting XI, but he’s got the right combination of skills and versatility to make him a very useful super-sub type forward who can play all three positions in attack and do a job whenever he’s called into action.
If Adeyemi can become what Pedro was for Barça’s Treble-winning side of 2015, his signing will be worth it already.
