The Street Profits have not wrestled in WWE since the July 6 episode of Raw at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins dropped the world tag team championship to The Vision on that night, one month before Ford became a new father.
It’s also the the same match where Ford spent part of his entrance dancing next to this security guard for an extended period of time, with his crotch uncomfortably close to the guy’s face. You can hear WWE commentator Corey Graves joke about
how the security guard “clearly hates fun,” and encouraging Ford to “get him to crack.”
It’s worth noting that this portion of the Street Profits’ entrance has been edited out of the July 6 Raw episode that is currently available to stream on Netflix.
The security guard’s name is Noel Lucas, and he is now suing Ford (real name Kenneth Crawford) and WWE as a result of that “lap dance.” Post Wrestling’s Brandon Thurston says Lucas is “alleging 14 counts including assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and violations of the Illinois Gender Violence Act.”
Per Thurston, Lucas’ complaint says Ford danced toward him without consent, and because WWE spread that video on social media, “members of the public recognized him from the videos of the encounter…and mocked him, thrusting their hips in his direction, imitating the sexual movements.” On top of his own humiliation and embarrassment, Lucas says his children have been “mocked and ridiculed” in school as a result of the incident.
Lucas also alleges that Ford’s inner left thigh repeatedly “rubbed against” his leg during the “sexually provocative dance” that involved “thrusting and gyrating his hips and pelvis” towards him.
Lucas wants the court to award him “unspecified monetary damages, punitive damages, his legal costs, and to order that WWE and Crawford can’t use his identity.” Thurston says there is a case management hearing scheduled for December 10.
