Joao Pedro has been urged to leave Chelsea and join Barcelona in the summer transfer window following speculation the Catalans are keen on the Brazilian.
Barca want to sign a new striker to replace Robert Lewandowski, with Julian Alvarez and now Pedro heavily linked with the club.
Pedro has scored 20 goals this season for the Blues in what’s been a difficult campaign for the club and has now been told to make the move this summer by Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips.
“I believe it would be fantastic
for João if he were to go. Personally, given the way Chelsea has been run, if I were him, I would do everything to complete this transfer,” he told Somos Fanaticos.
“Playing at Camp Nou, alongside Raphinha and Lamal, would be great for him. He would score many goals, since we have already seen what he did in a team that wasn’t as good as this Chelsea team.
“If I were João Pedro, I would want to play in the Champions League, and I can’t see Chelsea qualifying for any European competition. João has the level and deserves to be playing in the Champions League.”
Chelsea have already sacked two managers this season and look set to miss out on qualification for the Champions League. The Blues are currently on a run of six straight Premier League defeats and face Liverpool next at Anfield.
