The Rays and Guardians are putting together a very entertaining ALCS. The series is tied 2-2, with the teams alternating wins in each game.
Last night, the game was close until the late innings when the Rays pulled away. The bullpen game didn’t work to well for Cleveland, with five diffrent pitchers allowing at least one run in the game. And their defense didn’t help, either, with two errors. One led to an unearned run.
Drew Rasmussen starts for the Rays tonight against Patrick Messick for the Guardians.
Rasmussen started game one of the series and pitched six innings with two runs. Messick allowed three runs in five innings in game two. All three runs were unearned after an error by José Ramírez extended an inning.
Because of the rainout on Friday, there will be no off day after tonight’s game. When it ends, both teams will hop a plane back to Florida for game six tomorrow night.
