Week 15 of the NFL regular season came to a close with 17 Maryland football alumni seeing the field.
Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore had a bounce-back weekend against the Cleveland Browns. Moore caught
four passes for 69 yards and two touchdowns to help solidify a 31-3 win.
Sunday marked Chicago’s sixth win in the last seven weeks as they look to hold off the Green Bay Packers for the division lead. If the Bears do hold off the Packers — and a dark horse Detroit Lions team that is still alive in the race — it will be their first NFC North title since 2018.
While Moore’s season totals don’t jump off the page, he now has two multi-touchdown games in the last four weeks.
The road to a division title isn’t easy for Chicago. Their remaining three games are against the Packers, San Francisco 49ers and Lions. All of these teams have at least eight or more wins. With the Bears’ schedule featuring all NFC opponents, the outcome of this will affect conference seeding for the postseason.
Up first however, will be the Packers on Saturday at 8:20 p.m. at Soldier Field.
