With Michigan getting upset by Wisconsin on Saturday I had hoped that Purdue could have leapfrogged them into the top 4, but the Wolverines only dropped two spots in this week’s poll after dropping their
first game of the season. I think that is pretty fair, too. They have been very impressive until this past week when they survived an upset attempt in State College and then were knocked off at home by the Badgers.
It was also not hte best week for Purdue’s non-conference opponents, as Texas Tech and Alabama took a slide. Auburn did beat a ranked Arkansas team, however, so that win did gain some value. With two losses last week Iowa is out of the top 25, denying us a top 25 matchup Wednesday night in Mackey.
