The Tennessee Titans have reportedly waived Will Levis. This move doesn’t really come as a surprise. They would have loved to be able to trade him, but Levis didn’t help them with that by playing so poorly in the preseason. Jeremy Fowler said he was told that Levis wanted out. That might be the most obvious statement ever, and it doesn’t really matter because the Titans were going to cut him either way.
Levis will likely get claimed by a team before tomorrow’s waiver deadline of 12:00 Central. Some
team out there will see the physical tools Levis has and think he can help them. That team will have to find a way to get him where he needs to be mentally.
It was just two years ago that Levis entered the season as the Titans QB1. Amy Adams Strunk even mentioned Levis as a reason for a head coach to be excited to come to Nashville after Mike Vrabel was fired. It didn’t take long for that excitement to fade.
