Indiana (3-0, 0-0 Big Ten) is set to take on Incarnate Word (2-1, 0-0 Southland) on Sunday afternoon at Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana.
The Hoosiers are coming off of a 101-70 win over Milwaukee, their second outing of 100+ points scored, this past Wednesday. Indiana is spreading the ball around so far on the season, with four starters above 20% in usage through three games.
The Cardinals are coming off of two consecutive 100-point outings of their own over non-Division-I competition. Their
lone D-I game on the season, the opener at Colorado State, resulted in a 98-64 loss. Like Alabama A&M and Milwaukee before it, Incarnate Word suffers from a pretty lackluster defense.

Predictions
Indiana is built to score many, many points. Incarnate Word, unfortunately, is built to allow many, many points. The Cardinals should be able to score some, maybe at a level on par with Milwaukee, but this is a game Indiana should use to avoid complacency, if anything. The Hoosiers looked a bit less inclined to go after boards early against the Panthers in their last outing before Darian DeVries shared a few pointed words in the huddle during a timeout. Indiana’s not going to score 100 every single game and it won’t always come easy. If Indiana gets out to an early lead, it should run away with it early instead of taking its foot off the gas. If executed well, this game could be a good teaching moment.
