For the 11th time in his career, Steph Curry was chosen to be an All-Star and was all set to play for one of two US teams in what will be a brand-new format, an attempt to rejuvenate interest in a concept
that has seen waning interest from both the players and the fans. Curry has been one of the event’s few main attractions, having won All-Star MVP two times in his career, both of which saw him perform entertaining feats on the court.
However, the game’s main attraction is set to miss this year’s edition, which is going to be held in Intuit Dome, the home of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Per Steve Kerr prior to tonight’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies, not only will Curry miss tonight’s tilt and the Golden State Warriors’ game against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, he will also sit out the All-Star Game, electing to rest an ailing knee that was diagnosed with “Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome,” more commonly known as “runner’s knee.”

By the time the All-Star break begins, Curry will have missed a total of 16 games, leaving him with only one more game that he can miss before being disqualified for postseason awards such as an All-NBA Team selection.
