Gameweek 6 promises another exciting round of Fantasy Premier League action, with plenty of opportunities for managers to rack up points.
We’ve highlighted key players across all positions who could deliver
strong returns based on form and fixtures.
Whether you’re chasing clean sheets, midfield creativity, or reliable captaincy options, these picks should guide your transfers and selections.
Goalkeeper
Donnarumma (£5.6m, Man City v Burnley)
Donnarumma played a crucial role in the Citizens’ resilient defensive display that earned them a point at the Emirates on Sunday.
The Italian goalkeeper repeatedly nullified Arsenal’s set-piece threat with commanding claims in the box. A home fixture against newly promoted Burnley looks ideal for Donnarumma to secure his second clean sheet in three matches.
Defenders
Senesi (£4.7m, Leeds v Bournemouth)
Senesi has returned nine or more points in three of his last four outings, making him the third-highest scoring defender in FPL this season. Since the summer departures of Zabarnyi and Huijsen, the Argentine has stepped up as a leader in the Bournemouth backline.
Calvin Bassey (£4.5m, Aston Villa v Fulham)
Investing in Fulham’s defence looks wise this weekend given Aston Villa’s attacking struggles. Emery’s men have scored just once in five games, failing to convert despite boasting several high-profile attackers. Bassey’s physicality and reliability make him a strong pick for this fixture.
Tarkowski (£5.5m, Everton v West Ham)
Tarkowski remains a threat at both ends of the pitch as Everton host a struggling West Ham side. With two wins and a draw from their first five matches, the Toffees have climbed to 10th, and Tarkowski’s presence is a big reason why.
Midfielders
Mo Salah (£14.5m, Crystal Palace v Liverpool)
Salah retains his spot in our weekly selection thanks to his consistency and ability to deliver when doubted. While not yet at his peak, the Egyptian has two goals and two assists in five games, proving that even at his “quiet” best, he’s still a premium asset.
Semenyo (£7.7m, Leeds v Bournemouth)
Semenyo is currently the top-scoring midfielder in FPL after five games, with three goals and two assists. His recent promotion to penalty taker only increases his appeal, making him an excellent pick against Leeds.
Jeremy Doku (£6.4m, Man City v Burnley)
Doku looks sharper and more decisive in the final third this season, showing both composure and flair in recent matches. The Belgian has been integral to City’s attack over the past three games and should play a major role against Burnley.
Kudus (£6.6m, Spurs v Wolves)
Kudus provided both assists in Spurs’ 2–2 draw with Brighton last week, taking his tally to four assists in five games. The Ghanaian’s creativity is central to Tottenham’s attacking output and could shine again against Wolves.
Alex Iwobi (£6.5m, Aston Villa v Fulham)
Iwobi opened his account for the season with a goal in Fulham’s comeback win over Brentford, also adding an assist. Beyond the numbers, his leadership and composure stood out, consoling teammate King after a costly error before inspiring the turnaround. With Silva’s trust, Iwobi will again be key against Villa.
Ndiaye (£6.5m, Everton v West Ham)
At £6.5m, Ndiaye offers excellent value, ranking among the top 10 midfielders in FPL so far. The Senegalese international has been the biggest beneficiary of Grealish’s arrival in attack while also consistently earning bonus points for defensive contributions.
Forwards
Erling Haaland (£14.3m, Man City v Burnley)
The standout captain choice once again, Haaland was on target against Arsenal and now has six goals in five league matches. The Norwegian remains the frontrunner for the Golden Boot and looks set to continue his scoring streak against Burnley.
Isak (£10.5m, Crystal Palace v Liverpool)
With Ekité’s red card in the League Cup, Isak is expected to start for Liverpool this weekend. Slot has been easing him in due to fitness concerns, but circumstances now demand his involvement. He scored the opener against Southampton, and more minutes should bring more returns.
