The Royals are once again on their winning ways after a good away victory against Wigan Athletic. Weirdly, it has been Paudie O’Connor and Jeriel Dorsett among the goals in the last two matches, which
isn’t a problem, but there’s a slight worry about where our strikers are.
Wycombe Wanderers also won their last game, 4-0 against Doncaster Rovers. This will be a close match as they and the Royals are tied on points, wins, draws and losses, and are only above the Royals on goal difference.
The head-to-head between the two sides is in Reading’s favour with 11 wins, four draws and four losses. The last game between the two sides was a 2-2 draw with Wycombe equalising at the death (89 minutes) to grab a point.
In this preview I will mention players who have played for both and I will give my predictions.

Players who have played for both
There are a whopping 22 players who have played for both Reading and Wycombe. Here are another four of them:
James Harper played 341 games for Reading – woah – scoring 26 goals and getting 11 assists. He only managed five games for Wycombe, managing neither a goal nor an assist.
Nathan Tyson played 38 times for Reading, managing just one goal. Having come though the Reading academy and – fun fact – gone to school with my father, he then got a transfer to Wycombe.
He was at Wycombe for 15 years but only managed 140 appearances, scoring 53 goals and getting 11 assists.
Randell Williams has so far played eight games for the Royals and has been solid out wide. He has one goal and one assist.
For Wycombe he played 29 games, scoring four goals and getting two assists.
Finally, Jordan Obita, the current Hibernian left-back. He played 191 games for the Royals, scoring seven goals and getting 20 assists.
For Wycombe he managed 95 games, scoring five goals and getting eight assists.
My lineup
Joel Pereira will feature in goal. He will need to be ready in this one.
The defence will be Ryan Nyambe, O’Connor, Benn Ward and Dorsett.
The midfield will be Lewis Wing, Charlie Savage and Kamari Doyle.
The attack will be Kadan Young, Jack Marriott and Paddy Lane.
Score prediction: 2-2
Good luck to those going to the game.
Come on you Royals!
